Slobber Strap leathers are used to improve communication between horse and rider. The design and weight distributes rein pressure evenly through the bit allowing the horse to sense slight changes in pressure through the mecate rein. It gives the horse time to prepare for a cue and the rein release is felt immediately, letting the horse know when they have done the right thing. They are great for teaching a young horse to be more responsive or to help create soft feel and timing in the hand of the rider.
